形態特徵

• Large climbers, branches stout, prominently lenticellate.
• Leaves ovate to elliptic, 4–9 cm long, 2–4 cm wide, apex caudate-acuminate, base widely acute, lateral veins 3(–4) pairs, glabrous, shing above, pale green below, petiole 1–2.5 cm long.
• Flowers ca. 2 mm long in large axillary and terminal, trichotomous, broad, loose cymes, 4–15 cm long, pedicels 1–2 mm long; calyx ovate, half as long as corolla tube, lobes ovate; corolla widely campanulate, green, tube 2 mm long, lobes 2 mm long; stamens reaching to middle part of tube, anthers sagittate, connivent and adhering to stigma, cells spurred below; gynoecium shorter than calyx lobes; disc cupular; ovary of 2-distinct carpels, bilobed, style short, conical.
• Follicles horizontally spreading, 14–19 cm long, 6.5–7 mm in diam., apex acuminate, prominently lenticellate; seeds comose.
• This species differs from Ecdysanthera rosea by the shape of the leaf, the thicker veins and leaves, the green lower surface of its leaf veins and petioles, the smaller flowers, and the acuminate longer Follicles.

分布

• 台灣 : forest edges at low altitudes.
• 世界 : Southern China to the Ryukyus.
